Hi, Everyone,

I was informed by a friend about this forum. I was banned in another forum because I am an SDA. I'm a very new SDA. I've found out that SDAs are sometimes lumped with all the other cults and I try to hide that just to be able to join in. But it seems here that would not be necessary. I've gone through reading the policies and rules and it looks acceptable to me. William has done much for this site.

My father is a preacher of the Methodist Church. He's now retired. My grandfather was also a Methodist preacher. Two of my brothers are also preachers and the only sister is also a preacher, all of the Methodist Church. I try to engage them to exchange of thoughts on the Bible but they get angry very easily.

I've been moving from church to church. I've joined the Charismatic Pentecostal, joined the Southern Baptist but I left them after I realized they are doing something wrong or teaching something wrong. I became a "born again" in my youth. I am now 51 and still continue my search for truth. I still don't know many things. I have a hunger for more truths that is why I have moved from church to church. My previous forum was my first experience. I thought that perhaps the forum will really test whether I am walking in the right path or not. The leadership of that forum failing to prove me wrong just banned me.

I am happily married and have 3 children. I am an engineer and holds a managerial position in the Philippine Government.

I have given my life in the service of the Lord. I have gladness in my heart if I can be of service to Him. I hope I can be of service here and partake as well.

I'm non-denominational. Baptized and Spirit Filled in the Oneness Church.
I spent the next 4 years in a Chrismatic Church. And I've church hopped since then.

Went to an inter-denominational church about 3 years.
Then was out of Church for a few years.. just had enough.

I visit many denominations, but go more to a Assemblies 0f God Church right now.
Just because that's where God wants me right now.

Hi, George. Welcome to the forum.

I must admit that I'm all that familiar with the Seventh Day Adventist organization. I don't know about the organization well enough to say whether it is a cult or not, but the truth is that any organization can be a cult whether it be Baptist, Roman Catholic, Pentecostal, etc.... I have to warn you, though, that the promotion of any organization is not welcome here. We should be simply known as followers of Christ. Please feel free to ask questions and share insights. But at the same time be prepared to defend any positions which may be called into question. I saw what happened over at DeceptionBytes and am sorry to see that you got banned from there. Most especially since your behaviour surely wasn't of the caliber of some of the behaviour which I have seen allowed there. There won't be an bias here. I consider you a brother in the Lord until and unless you prove yourself otherwise. Blessings and hugs to you.

Thanks for welcoming me here. Don't you guys use other names, aliases, like the others? I don't also. I've thought about it and I think if I'm giving out some positions anywhere, I will be responsible for them anywhere and anytime in my life. So I dont need to use any other name.

William, I never tried to promote the SDA organization. I came out to discuss on some Bible verses and used the line that I understand, which just happen to be SDA line also. My reasonings are not in respect to SDA or because I am SDA, but in respect to what I understood as correct. The DB guys had thrown bombs left and right against Ellen White and Walter Veith and I defended with kid jabs having known a little bit about them and I thought that those tirades were unfair and unfounded. Those guys were good guys but because they're SDAs they've been judged as polluted. So I took the burden of giving the things I have learned of these people.

Perhaps I really sounded promoting the SDA organization, if your warning means that. If I really did that then I will admit it's really out of line to do that. But the flow of the discussion called for natural responses which I just did. When I was banned, there was a discussion on Epistle vs Scripture. The line I was giving was my own. I have not learned it from any SDA material.

So, I don't know where you might have picked up that I was promoting the SDA org.

I agree wholeheartedly and this is the reasoning behind using the same alias wherever I go, too. Though I have been toying with the idea of simply using my full name rather than the play on it which I'm am well known by.

I'm not really familiar with Walter Veith, though I have come acoss some discussion and done some research into Ellen White. From my understanding of ellen White she was a prophetess who had a habit of trying to be a teacher and also seemingly having some sort of control issues? This is just off the top of my head.

I don't ever remember hearing you promote the SDA organization and wasn't warning you against it because I had. The best way to explain why the promotion of different sects of Christianity is discouraged can be found in the thread titled 'What is Heresy?'

But I started using my real name.
Because people kept refering to me as Brother.
Plus what could be more uncommon than my real name?

You endured a lot of display of arrogance there yourself.

In fairness to Mishel, it took her sometime before she finally had to give in to others. That's how I read it. So many have been belligerent and they received warnings from her much earlier. But then later they come out and still behave in the same manner. So apparently Mishel was kind enough to toletate them and to allow them continuous access even with their misbehaviors. In my case I never received any warning. Just a final message to others that I've been banned from the forum. She didn't had a chance to warn me at all. It's like there had been a lot of arguing and to pacify them all, she finally said to them "ok, George is banned from the forum." At a certain point I read someone there called her a sockpuppet. It took me sometime to figure that out because we are not familiar with that here. I have a feeling that it is very demeaning. But Mishel never said anything against that person. That person is quick to brand someone like me as heretic and crazy. So it makes me think that Mishel doesn't really call the shots there.

I have made direct charges to StevePage that his reasonings are coming from the Dispensationalism Theology. I directly said that it is Anarchy Theology. A Disobedience Theology. He never said anything about this charge on him.

Nevertheless, it's a page in my crusading Christian life. I've not been in these fora before. Pandora seems to have gone to so many. I could learn much from her. I could learn much from everyone here. I hope it is not anymore to endure the pain of display of arrogance of the website leaders .
