Testimony of an Apostle part 2
-Again, for the first 1:03 we are introduced to a multitude of pictures of Eric with various phrases scrolling in and out of the screen. At :47 we are again shown the "New Stewardship", "New Priesthood", and "New Knowledge" proclamations, as well.
-Eric's wife, Maria vonAnderseck is the host.
-Maria vonAnderseck at 1:25 "In part one we defined an apostle and explained how they function in the church. We explained why God uses titles, and as we promised, we will explain why apostle Eric is called a chief apostle, and present the signs and wonders of his calling as seen in his spiritual vitae. I am going to begin by setting his calling within the context of God's timeline." In part one, there was a very superficial and problematic description of one aspect of an apostle. But by no means was the previous 'teaching' very in depth at all. Also, the promotion of using the different callings as titles one takes to one's name has already been addressed, so I won't rehash that topic again. But I would like to ask anyone who listens to keep this question in their mind; Does this video actually list any signs and wonders which demonstrate the validity to Eric's claims of being the 'chief steward', 'chief apostle', or an apostle period?
-At 3:54 Maria vonAnderseck starts a teaching concerning God's timeline, using the books of Enoch as her foundation. This is very problematic and should be a red flag for any believer for various reasons.
-Maria vonAnderseck at 4:12- "The books of Enoch were studied by the early church and are still taught in many seminary schools today." Is this true? Does the fact that there are seminaries teaching from it make it authoritative? Would that also make the Apocrypha auhtoritative? How about the Qu'ran? The Vedas? The books of enoch are very controvertial subject and at best are problematic and at worse erroneous.
-Beginning at 6:02 Maria vonAnderseck begins a teaching on how god divided time into 'weeks', with each week assigned a different focus. The first week is assigned to Enoch, the 2nd to Noah, the 3rd to Abraham, the 4th to Moses, the 5th to David, etc... It, in it's own fashion, is very much akin to the dispensationalist mindset. The thing which struck me as curious was how they assigned the first 'week' to Enoch rather than Adam. I would also like to make the reader/listener aware of the way which she uses the Scripture to support their ideas. The many of Scriptures which they use, which is actually very few, have no bearing on the actual idea which they are trying to teach. Honestly, there are some true pieces of revelation mixed in amongst this teaching. But at the same time there is a mixture of carnality and demonic influence, as well. This becomes clear when noticing the actual subject or individual being promoted in much of the teacings in the first two videos.
-At 12:08 Maria vonAnderseck rightly sys that noah was called the 8th person (2 Pet. 2:5) and since there were 8 souls saved in the ark, this means that the second week is divided into two with no explanation as to where they come to this conclusion. It just seems to be a matter of 'because they said so'.
-At 13:00 Maria vonAnderseck uses Noah's ark account to promote a pretribulation rapture doctrine, which is questionable at best and false at worst.
-Maria vonAnderseck at 13:15- "Of the nearly 7 billion people on the earth today, only a few million will be saved(a remnant)." Only time will tell if the number will be this low, though I must agree in saying that the number is going to be muchlower than many people realize or want to accept.
-At 16:54 Maria vonAnderseck makes the claim that Jesus preached the dissolution of 'Moses'. This is very confusing at best and false at worst. Matt 5:17 speaks in a manner contradictory to what Maria is promoting "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am come not to destroy but to fulfill."
-Maria vonAnderseck at 17:04- "He overturned the tables of the money changers (Matt 21:13) He preached against the hypocrisy of the scribes and Pharisees (Luke 11:44)."
These statments really demonstrate the outright hypocrisy of the vonAndersecks and their ministry:

No genuine apostle would ever set up suchof a worldly structure, let alone charge people to learn the truth about God and His ways. These people are hirelings at best and harlots at worst. After all, a harlot charges for her services
-Maria vonAnderseck at 21:00- "As we can see, the steward is the key to the new 'week'. So why is it important for us to know? Well, God brings to our attention that He always selects a steward to take His people from dissolution to renewal. In each week of God's plan, He selected an individual and raised him to fulfill His word." Something which must be pointed out is the error in thier understanding of exactly what the 'keys' are. The keys are quite simply the truth, which is what opens those doors which lead from glory to glory. Not the people to whom the keys are given to. Just like the Catholic Church, Eric has shifted the attention to man in order to gain an appearance of God given authority over others. Also, again, the question must be asked, "Is Eric claiming to be the finally appearance of 'Elijah'?" I have absolutely no problem with this claim, as long as one is able to demonstrate it in ways which Eric has yet to do; by character, understanding, faith, and power to name a few.
-Maria vonAnderseck at 21:58- "The key is the steward. The key is in God's hand to run the lock to open the door for you. Now who is the steward and key of the 2nd 8th week whom God has appointed to take the church from dissolution to renewal? We will introduce him to you shortly and look at the signs and wonders that God has granted that testifies before angels and men of His work in this key." Once again, take notice of all the attention which is being given to the key, which Eric claims to be. This type of mindset is exactly the opposite of the heart which was in John the Baptist and the apostles. Try to search for instances of them seeking attention for themselves. Also note that, again there is a hyping up of some references to signs and wonders which testify to Eric. We've heard this boast many times now through both videos and have yet to be presented with just one example of a sign and/or wonder. This is reminiscent of the great claims which also arise out of the 'Prophetic movement', the Word of Faith movement, the other groups claiming to be apostles (N.A.R. and I.C.A.), the Elijah List, and the like. All make great claims and boast of great things, but when it comes time to deliver, they are often made to look foolish and end up glossing over and justifying their error, sins, and corruption.
-At 22:38 Maria vonAnderseck uses an illustration to demonstrate a period of time between the time of the apostles and the emergence of Apostolic governance (presumably Eric's ministry) in which she claims that there was "No growth" and "No true faith". If this is true, then the restoration of many things which had been lost and restored, in a fashion, to the Body of Christ in the last 500 years has been a big sham. This also means that if there was no true faith, then no one was saved since the time of the apostles until the formation of Eric's ministry. How presumptous is that? How cultlike is it?
-Maria vonAnderseck at 23:52- "What we are seeing now through the 2nd 8th week is a re-emergence of true Apostolic governance. Truth is restored to the church. God has assigned a new steward and key for this week who is giving new knowledge and a new priesthood." If Eric is giving new knowledge, this is a very dangerous concept because that means that Eric can create anything which he wants, with absolutely no foundations and pass it off as 'new'. When anyone questions him, all he has to say is that it was something which no one knew before and that's why one can't find the concepts except through him and his associates. Very reminiscent of some notorious cult leaders. Also, Eric is also making the claim that he has the authority and charge to create a new priesthood. Once again, very cultlike and disrespectful of the priesthood of believers which the Lord has already established.
-At the end of this video, the words "The second 8th Week Apostles & Elders approve of this message." Can anyone see the humor in this?
I have to say that, so far, Eric still hasn't demonstrated any confirmation of his claims and is actually hurting his credibility thorugh these two videos. Not only has he not verified any on his boasts of signs and wonders, but the very nature of his videos and his threads at the Charisma forums demonstrates a spirit of anti-christ (A false representation of the true Christ). Hopefully in the next video we'll be given some examples of the signs and wonders which he and his wife have been boasting about for two videos now, yet have failed to produce.
